Heating instructions:
Steamer (preferable)
1.Fill the steamer with water making sure the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the steaming basket.
2. Place the tamales on the basket.
For frozen tamales: cover and steam for 25-30 minutes.
For thawed tamales: cover and steam for 10-15 minutes.
Microwave -from frozen-.
1. Put the tamales in a microwaveable container.
2. Heat them for three minutes (or until defrosted).
3. Heat them for another 1 or 1.5 minutes.
Microwave -thawed-.
1. Put the tamales in a microwaveable container.
2. Heat them for 1 – 1.5 minutes.
Note: When using a microwave it is advisable to utilise a container where they can be placed on top, leaving a space below to add some water and prevent them from drying.
